Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join a professional, award winning and multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy, based in Nottingham City Centre with hybrid working available.

Please note – if you are a strong Assistant Building Surveyor looking to progress to a Building Surveyor role, your application will be considered.

Role

As the Building Surveyor, reporting into the Senior Building Surveyor, you will be working alongside trusted and respectable clients in different industry sectors including aviation, education, commercial construction, industrial and residential for example, working on interesting and exciting projects across the Midlands.

Daily duties and responsibilities will consist of:

  • Hands on delivery of building surveying services
  • Stock condition surveys
  • Client development
  • Financial forecasting
  • Assisting with the growth of the team
  • Leading projects
  • Client management and development
  • Technical reviews to manage the quality of services
  • Mentoring/managing junior members of the team

Responsibilities

As Building Surveyor, your duties will typically include (but not limited to):

  • RICS, MRICS or APC (or working towards)
  • Consultancy experience (desirable)
  • Strong technical building surveying background
  • Experience of autonomously delivering projects
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • An analytical mind combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations

Person
