Assistant Construction Planner

Site Managers and Project Managers looking to progress into a Planning role will also be considered.

As the Assistant Construction Planner, you will be working as part of a forward-thinking preconstruction and operational team to deliver a mix of commercial, healthcare, education and residential schemes with values of between £5m to £30m.

Working closely with the Planning team, you will be assisting with planning, programming and project reporting and programme management to ensure projects are running on time and to budget.

• Gathering of information from site team, subcontractors, design team etc for progress reporting and programme development
• Liaison with site team to ensure all works are accurately reflected in the programme scope
• Identification of major quantities, constraints, logistics, design, procurement times, and other factors affecting programme
• Production and update of phasing plans, Marketing Suite access plans etc
• Ensure compliance with Planning Procedures
• Regular visits to site to conduct reviews of progress against Contract and Target programmes (identification of critical delays)
• Help to identify programme issues, and produce commentary, analysis and corrective (mitigating) measures

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Construction Planner job will have a proven track record of planning as either a Construction Planner, Project Manager or Site Manager in a construction main contracting environment. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a team.

• Experience using planning softwares such as Asta, MS Project or Primavera
• Experience planning and programming
