CLIENT

Our client is a well-established UK-based division of a global leader in high-end construction machinery, recognised for its innovative approach and technical excellence in mobile concrete solutions. Their equipment is used extensively across construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors, with a growing demand for both new builds and refurbishment work.

Known for a strong commitment to safety, quality, and service, the business is expanding and seeking experienced professionals to support its ongoing success.

ROLE

As a Service Engineer, you will carry out all aspects of maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and new build work on mobile concrete mixing machinery. You’ll work with all makes and models, developing

technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role will be based at the company’s facility with occasional travel to customer sites and some out-of-hours work as required.

This position would suit someone from a heavy plant, HGV, or construction equipment background who is looking to further develop their hands-on skills within a growing and supportive business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities of the Service Engineer role include:

Performing service, maintenance, and refurbishment work on mobile concrete mixing machinery

Diagnosing faults across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems

Keeping accurate records of all work and parts used

Developing technical expertise to ensure high-quality standards of work

Occasionally travelling to customer sites to carry out repairs

Supporting customers with professional and responsive service

Carrying out out-of-hours work on occasion when needed

PERSON

To be successful in this role, candidates should ideally possess:

Previous hands-on experience working with heavy equipment (e.g. CAT, JCB, Komatsu, John Deere)

Strong mechanical background, ideally with experience in plant or HGV maintenance

Electrical fault-finding skills

Knowledge of hydraulic systems, welding (MIG preferred), and pneumatics

Good problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work outdoors and occasionally at height

Full UK driving licence preferred

REMUNERATION
