Role

As the Systems & Quality Manager, you will be working as apart of an established Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Team and will be responsible for internal audits, managing the quality of internal systems and working collaboratively with site teams to ensure a seamless implementation.

You will be involved with various projects throughout the region across the education, healthcare, commercial, industrial and residential sectors with values ranging from £1m to £10m. These projects will be across the public and private sectors including local frameworks.

Responsibilities

As the Systems & Quality Manager, you will lead the implementation of external standards, compliance and continued improvement of business systems.

  • Advise and support teams on system compliance
  • Manage compliance for relevant management systems and
    accreditations
  • Lead external audits and support internal teams through audits
  • Provide visible leadership for all systems and quality matters
  • Up-skill and train various teams on business systems
  • Proactively promote best practice and processes across the business, ensuring the correct channels are being followed
  • Promote and implement new ideas to enhance efficiency to stay ahead of the market and continuously meet client’s expectations of standards required to procure
  • Produce regular reports to evidence effectiveness of systems and quality management procedures
  • Visit projects across various regions to verify compliance, support, embedment and development of systems and quality procedures

Person

The ideal candidate for the Systems and Quality Manager job will have an established SHEQ or Health & Safety background working in a Tier 1 or regional construction main contracting environment.

You will also need to be proactive, positive, and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a close-knit team.

  • Excellent knowledge of SHEQ Legislation
  • Experience working on behalf of a construction main contractor or consultancy
  • Full understanding of ISO, NRQ and Achilles standards
  • Full knowledge and experience of effective quality management
  • Practical operational experience with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Extensive knowledge of construction legislation including the Building Safety Act
