Social Value & EDI Manager


Atkins Search are recruiting for a Social Value Manager & EDI Manager to join an award-winning civils contractor based in Nottingham. Social Value Coordinators will also be considered for this role.


Our Nottingham based client are recruiting for a Social Value & EDI Manager to join their team. They are a family owned, leading civils and infrastructure specialist contractor operating across the public and private sectors.

Operating across various sectors including highways, rail, infrastructure, groundworks, water and environment, our client offers a dynamic and varied portfolio of bids and tenders.

Operating as the Social Value & EDI Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and driving social value strategy to ensure the business are a regional leader in delivering social value. You will also work with operational teams to embed social values policies throughout the business, participate in industry workshops, analyse competition/framework requirements, and assist the pre-construction teams in bids.


  • Planning and promoting events to engage employees in social values
  • Undertaking research and collaborating with project teams, customers and communities to develop bespoke action plans
  • Working with commercial, marketing and procurement teams to source sustainable solutions
  • Advising supply chains to advise of social value requirements
  • Engaging with clients to understand their goals in respect to social values
  • Establish and maintain analysis and reporting process for the social value
  • Build & maintain ED&I Strategy
  • Identify and lead on ED&I training and implementation


To be successful for this role, you must have passion and experience in upholding social values & EDI and be able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.

Experience working in the construction industry is ideal, but not essential.
