Our client is a reputable Tier 2 UK main contractor with a proven track record in delivering complex construction projects, including Care Homes, Hotels and Student Accommodation.
With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and integrity, they pride themselves on building lasting relationships with clients and partners, whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency and sustainability. Their portfolio demonstrates expertise in multi-room construction delivery and project leadership across both public and private sectors.
Due to an expanding project portfolio, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager in Essex region to strengthen their delivery team and support their continued growth across the region.
ROLE
Quite simply, the Site Manager needs to manage the site. “Tidy site, tidy mind” is the ethos of the project delivery teams within the business, and as Site Manager, you need to maintain the company standards and ensure the projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with a dedicated delivery and senior leadership team throughout each project lifecycle
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of the Site Manager in Frinton On Sea, Essex, role include:
- Manage and deliver projects under main contract conditions with a focus on maximising commercial return
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider delivery team
- Ensure consistent project performance across build quality, safety, cost control and programme
- Oversee planning, procurement, progress reporting and stakeholder communication
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Create a safe, inclusive and productive site culture on all projects
- Oversee the monitoring of contractors’ work for compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety, and overall conformance with the contract documents
PERSON
To be successful in this Site Manager job in Frinton On Sea, Essex, candidates should ideally have:
A track record of delivering multi-room schemes such as Care Homes, Hotels or Student Accommodation
- Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
- A proactive, organised and solutions-driven approach to project leadership
- We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Manager with a successful track record who will have the overall responsibility for contractors on sites and communicate directly with contractors for all works in conjunction with the project programme.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
An experienced Site Manager
- Proven background in delivering design and build projects within construction
- Worked on projects valued between £1m - £10m
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid & Temporary Works Certification
- Strong leadership, communication and team coordination skills
- Experience managing sub-contractors and site teams
- Ability to ensure site productivity, health & safety and risk management
