Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Bristol, you'll lead cost management services on complex construction projects, managing client relationships and mentoring quantity surveying teams. You'll provide expert commercial advice across project lifecycles, from initial cost planning through procurement to final account settlement under NEC and JCT contracts.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead cost management and quantity surveying services across diverse construction projects
  • Manage commercial delivery including cost planning, procurement strategies and contract administration
  • Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors
  • Chair commercial meetings with clients, contractors and design teams
  • Oversee budget management and value engineering initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with RICS standards and quality frameworks
  • Support business development and client relationship management

Person

To be successful in this Senior Quantity Surveyor job in Bristol, you will bring substantial post-qualification experience with demonstrable leadership capabilities.

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or cost management lead
  • RICS-accredited (MRICS) or working towards, with strong CPD record
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent client-facing skills and commercial negotiation expertise
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline
  • Experience across commercial, residential, logistics or infrastructure sectors preferred

Remuneration
