As a Senior Project Manager in Leicester, you will oversee design and build construction projects in the industrial, logistics, manufacturing and data centre sectors, ensuring successful delivery across time, cost and quality objectives from inception to completion.

You will manage 2-3 large-scale projects at any given time, typically valued at around £50 million, providing full project lifecycle leadership and project management - from feasibility and procurement to delivery and completion under JCT Design & Build contracts.

As a Senior Project Manager in Leicester, you will be responsible for:

• Lead the planning, design, procurement and delivery of large-scale industrial and logistics build projects across Leicester and the East Midlands
• Manage construction projects under JCT Design & Build contracts, ensuring compliance and commercial integrity
• Define scope, deliverables and programme management timelines to align with client and business goals
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and stakeholder management
• Oversee budget management, risk mitigation and quality assurance throughout project lifecycles
• Ensure project compliance, technical excellence and adherence to health and safety standards including CDM 2015
• Drive performance and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver results on time and within budget
• Chair client meetings and represent the consultancy in a professional and diplomatic manner at all stages of delivery
• Provide strategic project advice to clients across feasibility, design, procurement and construction phases
• Support continuous improvement, project profitability and team development across the Leicester office
• Manage programme management to ensure milestones are met on complex industrial schemes

To succeed in this Senior Project Manager role in Leicester, you will bring significant experience working within a construction consultancy environment delivering major industrial and logistics projects.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in project management of major construction projects, ideally within industrial, logistics, manufacturing, data centre or distribution sectors
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts, particularly JCT Design & Build, and contract administration
• Experience working in a consultancy environment delivering complex schemes (essential)
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects of £50m+ value
• Degree-qualified in construction, project management, engineering or a related discipline
• Professional membership or working towards chartership (e.g. APM, RICS, CIOB)
• Excellent project leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Full UK driving licence for visiting sites across Leicester and the East Midlands region
• A proactive, driven and team-oriented approach - with the hunger, ambition and diplomacy to achieve exceptional results
• Strong understanding of programme management, procurement routes and project governance
