Senior Healthcare Project Manager
OVERVIEW
Atkins Search have been appointed by a leading Construction Consultancy based in Nottingham to recruit an ambitious and experienced Senior Healthcare Project Manager to join their project management team.

They have a successful track record of securing multi-million-pound commissions with high-profile clients across healthcare, commercial, industrial, mixed-use developments, and public sector projects.
ROLE
As Senior Healthcare Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering complex healthcare projects with a hands-on approach throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s requirements.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Manage healthcare construction projects from inception to completion, with full support from senior management
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client requirements, including regular site visits and inspections
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors in a collaborative manner
- Develop and implement project management strategies including planning, programming, and scheduling to monitor project progress
- Identify and mitigate risks and challenges, creating contingency plans as needed
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure, implementing cost control measures throughout the lifecycle
- Maintain and build relationships with clients, stakeholders, project teams, and supply chain partners
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, legal requirements, industry standards, and contractual agreements
PERSON
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A construction-related degree (or equivalent)
- Proven track record as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in a consultancy environment, ideally with a minimum of three years’ experience
- Strong understanding of standard construction project management processes and documentation through all RIBA stages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop, build, and maintain strong relationships
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages
- Experience with JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Previous healthcare project experience is highly desirable
