This role is also open to Estimators at various levels.

Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team. Based in their dynamic office environment, you will lead on pricing and tendering for projects valued between £1m and £15m across various sectors, reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager and directly contributing to securing a strong pipeline of work.

As the business continues to push on in size, turnover and projects, you will be a key member of the team to play a part in their success.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Analysing project requirements, specifications, and drawings to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries to obtain competitive quotations.
  • Working closely with the pre-construction and project teams to develop robust bid strategies.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and labour costs.
  • Supporting post-tender negotiations and providing cost breakdowns as required.

Person

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor in similar value schemes with framework experience
  • Excellent JCT and NEC contract experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
