Revit Technician (M&E)

Atkins Search are currently working in partnership with a well-respected Electrical Contractor to recruit a skilled Revit Technician with M&E design experience to join their diverse and professional team.

CLIENT

Based in Derby, our client holds over 20 years’ experience as the number one choice services contractor for a number of regional and national construction main contractors and developers in England, as well as for a number of blue-chip commercial and educational institutions around the country.

ROLE

As a Revit Technician, you will play a key role in the design and coordination of M&E building services using Revit and BIM processes. You will work closely with design engineers, project teams, and site teams to ensure accurate, coordinated, and buildable designs across a variety of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce detailed MEP Revit models and drawings in line with project specifications
  • Coordinate M&E services within the wider BIM model, identifying and resolving clashes
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and site teams to ensure design intent is achieved
  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D models throughout all project stages
  • Attend coordination meetings and contribute to technical discussions
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with current industry standards and regulations
  • Support the design team with technical input and problem-solving
  • Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards and processes

PERSON

  • Previous experience as a Revit Technician within M&E / Building Services
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit with a strong understanding of BIM workflows
  • Experience working on commercial, education, or similar sector projects
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical services
  • Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to coordination challenges
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative team environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
