Residential Site Engineer

Atkins Search is recruiting a Site Engineer on behalf of a highly respected, market-leading developer based in Nottinghamshire to join their established technical team, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the region.

As a Site Engineer, reporting into the Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the core of site delivery process. From setting out and infrastructure to quality assurance and technical problem-solving, you’ll ensure homes are built to the highest standards - safely, accurately, and efficiently.

• Set out for roads, sewers, foundations, and superstructure using GPS and robotic total stations
• Monitor and control site levels, drainage, and earthworks against approved designs
• Support the Site Manager with technical interpretation of drawings and resolving on-site issues
• Coordinate early-stage works, including groundworks and utility connections
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to meet NHBC and Building Regulations
• Maintain accurate records of site progress, as-built information, and daily reports
• Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures

• HND/HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction-related discipline
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer (ideally in residential, housing, or groundworks)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, total stations, GPS equipment, and MS Office
• CSCS card (Engineer level or above); SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
