Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next role in West Yorkshire?

Atkins Search is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a Wakefield based specialist firm of Project Managers, Contract Administrators, Quantity Surveyors and CDM consultants. This is a full time, permanent role with a realistic potential of progression within a multi discipline business.

My client is an award winning, well established multi-disciplinary company who operate across various public and private sectors including Residential, retail, Education, Healthcare, Transport etc.

Our client work closely with various construction providers across the UK, providing a wide scope of opportunity for their employees.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for both commercial and delivery aspects of the project, including but not limited to:

• Supporting on a range of construction projects and supervising the work of the quantity surveyors, assistants and apprentices in your team and helping them to fulfil their potential
• Liaising directly with the project client and the other consultants on the design team pre and post contract.
• Working closely with senior management to seek new project opportunities and promoting the services of the practice at every opportunity including attendance and involvement at appropriate networking and marketing events.
• Following the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies.
• Treating all clients to exceptional level of service.

To be successful in the Quantity Surveyor position, the ideal person will bring:

• Proven track record within Quantity Surveying including knowledge and experience of building regulations / CDM knowledge
• Desire to succeed and progress within a growing business
• Able to work autonomously but also within a team
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Knowledge and experience of JCT contracts
