Role

As a Quantity Surveyor in Bristol, you'll manage cost planning, procurement and contract administration on construction schemes, working under NEC and JCT contracts. You'll provide expert commercial advice to clients, coordinate valuations and ensure projects deliver value for money whilst maintaining high standards throughout delivery.

Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor in Bristol, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare detailed cost plans and tender documentation for construction projects
  • Manage procurement processes including tender analysis and contractor negotiations
  • Administer contracts including monthly valuations and final account settlements
  • Provide commercial advice to clients throughout project lifecycles
  • Monitor project budgets and cost reporting to ensure financial control
  • Coordinate with project management and design teams to align objectives
  • Support business development through client relationship management

Person

To be successful in this Quantity Surveyor job in Bristol, you will bring solid post-graduate experience with strong commercial awareness.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, cost consultant or commercial manager in construction
  • Consultancy, main contracting or developer background preferred
  • Working towards RICS chartered status or qualified MRICS with active CPD commitment
  • Strong contract administration knowledge and commercial negotiation skills
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction Economics
  • Experience with NEC or JCT contracts and cost management software advantageous

Remuneration
