Role
As a Quantity Surveyor working as part of an established Commercial team and reporting to the Managing Surveyor, will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects throughout the region across the industrial sector with values ranging from £5m to £60m.
Working alongside an established team, you will be supported to take ownership of interesting and national projects, to ensure the most commercially viable outcome is achieved. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be operating in a trusted environment, operating autonomously to take ownership of various schemes.
Responsibilities
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely commercial reports, supporting the operational team and ensuring the project hits the appropriate financial targets.
- Ensure accurate and robust management of Subcontractors
- Procurement of Subcontractor packages
- Prepare Payment Applications and ensuring cash flow targets are met
- Provide key support to the Contracts Managers and Operational Teams
- Conduct profit and loss reporting, providing analysis to the Commercial Manager
- Estimate costs, material quantities and project timelines
Person
The ideal candidate for the Quantity Surveyor job will have an established Surveying career working in a Tier 1 or 2 main contracting environment, alongside:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification
- Excellent JCT and NEC knowledge
- Experience working for a construction main contractor on D&B projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, driven and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to operate autonomously and as part of wider teams across the business
