Quantity Surveyor

Our construction consultancy distinguished client, a highly reputable, large, multi-disciplinary construction business are continuing in growing as they succeed in winning projects across the country. Therefore, are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor position to join them in their Birmingham office.

Our market leading client provides multi-disciplinary services to their clients such as Project Management, Cost Management, Programme Management and more. Currently delivering some of the most prestigious schemes across the West Midlands within the public and private sector. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering the prestigious schemes across a variety of sectors, including but not limited to; Defence, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Commercial Developments, and Industrial.

As a Quantity Surveyor your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing and mentoring junior members of staff including assistants and apprentices
• Providing Cost Management services from inception to completion
• Cost planning
• Cost management
• Value engineering
• Tender management
• Financial reporting
• Budget management
• Employers agent
• Valuations

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will:

• Have experience in a similar role in the construction environment, ideally consultancy
• Have a Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
• Proven experience in managing commercial projects
• Have the ability to engage with project stakeholders, and ability to deal with issues appropriately and constructively
