We currently have a vacancy for an on site Project Manager to oversee a live construction project based in Frinton on Sea, Essex which is going live in January 2026 . The development is set to run for the following 18 months until completion.

Our client is a reputable Tier 2 UK main contractor with a proven track record in delivering complex construction projects, including Care Homes, Hotels and Student Accommodation.

With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and integrity, they pride themselves on building lasting relationships with clients and partners, whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency and sustainability. Their portfolio demonstrates expertise in multi-room construction delivery and project leadership across both public and private sectors.

Due to an expanding project portfolio, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager in Essex region to strengthen their delivery team and support their continued growth across the region.

ROLE

As Project Manager in Frinton on Sea, Essex, you will take full responsibility for the on-site delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

You will work alongside the Site Manager and Commercial Manager, providing leadership, direction and coordination across all aspects of the build. This is an excellent project management opportunity for an ambitious Construction Project Manager ready to take ownership of live sites.

This Construction Project Manager role would suit an experienced Site, Project or Contracts Manager with a strong background in main contracting and a proven ability to take ownership of live sites. For the successful candidate, there will be the opportunity to continue on to further projects upon completion.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Project Manager in Frinton On Sea, Essex, role include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the construction project, ensuring compliance with programme milestones
  • Develop and monitor construction programmes, implementing recovery plans where required
  • Administer contracts under JCT or NEC frameworks, including managing variations, claims and contractor performance
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations (CDM 2015), quality and environmental standards
  • Work closely with the commercial team to control budgets, manage stakeholder engagement and oversee subcontractor performance
  • Act as the main liaison with clients, consultants and statutory authorities
  • Lead, mentor and support site teams to ensure cohesive project delivery
  • Promote a proactive, collaborative working environment and uphold company standards in line with best practice

PERSON

To be successful in this Project Manager job in Frinton On Sea, Essex, candidates should ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, Site Manager or Contracts Manager within a UK main contracting environment
  • Strong knowledge of construction programming, sequencing and planning is essential
  • A track record of delivering multi-room schemes such as Care Homes, Hotels or Student Accommodation
  • Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-driven approach to project leadership
  • Full UK driving licence for site visits
  • Qualifications:
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), First Aid and Temporary Works Coordinator certifications
  • Degree in Construction Management or related discipline (preferred)
  • Chartered status (MCIOB, RICS) desirable but not essential
