Client
Our client is a reputable Tier 2 construction main contractor with a proven track record in delivering complex schemes, including schools, office spaces, supermarkets, and industrial builds up to £20m in value.
With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and integrity, they pride themselves on building lasting relationships with clients and partners while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Yorkshire region to strengthen their delivery team and support ongoing success across the region.
Role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring all stages of the process are managed effectively. You will lead site and commercial teams, maintain quality and safety standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest specification.
You will work closely with clients, design consultants, and the senior leadership team, managing all aspects of design coordination, commercial performance, and planning throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Lead and manage projects under main contract conditions, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability targets are achieved
- Coordinate all design, commercial, and planning activities from concept to completion
- Develop and maintain robust project programmes and budgets
- Oversee procurement, progress reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Manage design teams to ensure efficient delivery and compliance with client requirements
- Drive commercial awareness across all stages of delivery
- Ensure project performance meets company standards in build quality, safety, cost control, and delivery
- Lead site teams, ensuring positive culture, productivity, and compliance with all health & safety requirements
Person
To be successful in this Project Manager role in Yorkshire, candidates should ideally have:
- Proven experience managing design and build projects from pre-construction to handover
- Strong design, commercial, and planning knowledge and experience
- A solid background in delivering new build construction schemes across multiple sectors
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Experience of working on projects valued between £4m - £20m
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-driven approach to project delivery
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid & Temporary Works certification
- The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure safe, high-quality project execution
Remuneration
