Project Manager

Atkins Search is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a highly regarded and well-established construction main contractor based in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company with a strong regional presence and a robust pipeline of exciting projects!

The Role:

As the Project Manager, you will take ownership of one or more construction projects across the Midlands, managing the entire project lifecycle from initial planning and pre-construction through to handover and completion. Your focus will be on delivering projects on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction projects under main contract conditions to successful delivery
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and the wider delivery team to ensure project goals are met
• Monitor project progress including programme, cost, quality and safety performance
• Manage procurement, reporting and stakeholder communications effectively
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Foster a positive, safe and inclusive working environment throughout the project

The Person:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager with a proven track record delivering construction projects valued up to £8 million.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid & Temporary Works Certification
• Strong experience in construction project programming and scheduling
• Proven ability to develop, manage and update detailed construction programmes across live projects
• Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, critical path method, and planning software
• Demonstrable success managing multiple concurrent build projects
• Commercially aware with good knowledge of contract law, building regulations, health & safety and risk management
• Methodical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
