Role
As a Project Manager based in Wakefield, you will play a crucial role in delivering the prestigious schemes with a hands-on approach throughout the project life cycle from inception to completion across a variety of sectors, including but not limited to; Residential, Healthcare, Leisure, Commercial, Industrial, Local Authority, Renewable and Master planning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-construction
- Programme management
- Assisting the Senior Project Manager with day-to-day activities
- Managing own assigned projects
- Contract administration
- Risk management
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Post contract management
Person
To be successful in this Project Manager job in Wakefield you will need to bring experience working within a construction consultancy environment and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Have experience in a similar role in the construction environment, ideally a Construction Consultancy
- Be competent in using Microsoft Project and Excel
- Have comprehensive knowledge of building technology and construction principles
- A good understanding of forms of building contract and experience of contract administration
- Have previous experience of NEC and JCT forms of contract
- Have the ability to engage with project stakeholders, and ability to deal with issues appropriately and constructively
