Pre-Construction Manager

Our client, one of the UK’s leading Tier One main contractors, is looking to appoint a Pre-Construction Manager.

Operating with a flat management structure, you’ll report directly to the Design Director and work hand-in-hand with the project delivery team.

As Pre-Construction Manager, your role is to lead schemes and client relationships from concept to site. You’ll lead and coordinate the Pre-Construction team to develop and submit exceptional, work-winning bids.

As the Pre-Construction Manager for a leading Tier 1 Construction Main Contractor you will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, supported by a strong brand presence

Lead the Preconstruction team in producing compelling, coordinated, high-quality bids

Collaborate with internal specialists to tailor the best team for each submission

Support bid writing to ensure a cohesive and consistent tone throughout – a “one voice” approach

Manage the bid and pre-construction process through to RIBA Stage 3, before handing over to the delivery team

To be successful as a Pre-Construction Manager for this reputable construction business you will need to possess the following attributes:

A confident personality with excellent attention to detail – you’ll be client-facing and relationship-driven

Previous experience operating as a Pre-Construction Manager on behalf of a Tier 1 or 2 construction main contractor

Strong communication skills – able to lead cross-functional teams and bring together internal and external stakeholders to shape compelling bids
