Health & Safety Coordinator


OVERVIEW

Are you a skilled Health & Safety Coordinator looking for your next step in the East Midlands? We’re hiring a proactive and detail-oriented individual to provide overall administrative and compliance support across the business, with a strong focus on Health & Safety. This role would suit someone with excellent organisational skills and a keen interest in maintaining safe, compliant working environments.

Working closely with an external H&S and HR consultant as well as the internal leadership team, you’ll be responsible for keeping systems up to date, coordinating documentation and ensuring best practice is followed on projects and in the office.

ROLE

As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you will provide all-round administrative and organisational support to the business. This will include maintaining training records, updating compliance documentation, supporting inductions and assisting with site paperwork such as RAMS and permits, all with the guidance of an external H&S consultant.

Alongside your safety responsibilities, you will also support wider coordination tasks to keep projects and operations running smoothly, from managing records and documentation to assisting with day-to-day business administration.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive and detail-driven, with an interest in Health & Safety and a willingness to get involved in different aspects of coordination. You will be part of a supportive team environment, trusted to take ownership of your work and given the opportunity to build your knowledge and develop within a varied role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a Health & Safety Coordinator with office and HR supporting duties, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain and update H&S documentation, registers and training records
  • Coordinate site paperwork, RAMS and permits with the support of our external consultant
  • Assist in organising staff inductions, toolbox talks and compliance training
  • Support ISO and accreditation processes through document control and admin tasks
  • Act as first point of contact for H&S queries internally, escalating where required
  • Provide general administrative support to management to ensure smooth workflows

PERSON

  • To be successful in this Health & Safety / Office Coordinator role in the East Midlands, you will bring relevant experience within a similar setting and have the below:
