Role
As Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth in line with overall business objectives.
You will lead and coordinate a team of Technical Sales Managers, Technical Sales Support professionals, and Marketing specialists, ensuring alignment, accountability, and maximum effectiveness across all commercial activities.
This is a senior leadership position with direct reporting to the Directors and significant influence over the commercial direction of the business.
Responsibilities
As Head of Sales & Marketing, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with company growth objectives
- Driving brand awareness and market positioning within the construction and roofing sectors
- Leading, mentoring, and coordinating Technical Sales Managers, Technical Sales Support, and Marketing professionals
- Setting clear performance objectives and ensuring team alignment with revenue targets
- Strategically planning, managing, and overseeing the Sales & Marketing budget
- Ensuring commercial expenditure aligns with wider business strategy and delivers measurable return on investment
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments to inform strategy
- Supporting business development initiatives and strengthening key client relationships
- Providing regular performance reporting and strategic insight directly to the Directors
Person
To be successful in this Head of Sales & Marketing role, you will bring:
- Strong senior-level sales management experience within the construction sector, ideally with exposure to roofing or associated building envelope disciplines.
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification and/or a Marketing Degree
- Proven experience in a senior Sales Management position
- Strong construction industry knowledge and commercial awareness
- Demonstrable experience managing and controlling budgets at a strategic level
- Experience leading and developing high-performing commercial teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into measurable action
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required
