Graduate Surveyor

Are you a Graduate looking for your next step in the East Midlands? We’re hiring a Graduate Surveyor in Derby to join a well-established commercial property consultancy across Derby and the wider East Midlands. This is a full-time, permanent entry-level position offering the chance to gain hands-on experience across the commercial property lifecycle.

Our client is a respected commercial property consultancy with a strong regional presence and a reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice. They work across a diverse range of sectors, advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, valuations and development opportunities.

With a growing workload and future succession planning in mind, they are now seeking a Graduate to join their team and develop a long-term career in the property industry. The role provides excellent training, career progression and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a wide range of projects.

As a Graduate Surveyor, you will support colleagues in the delivery of property services, assisting with inspections, research, client communication and marketing.

This role offers the opportunity to gain structured training, professional mentorship and full support towards achieving RICS chartership.

As a Graduate Surveyor in Derby, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with property inspections and site visits
• Carrying out research to support valuations and market appraisals
• Dealing with property enquiries via phone, email and online platforms
• Supporting the marketing of commercial properties and updating client schedules
• Assisting in negotiations and preparing heads of terms
• Liaising with solicitors and other professionals throughout transactions
• Maintaining records and data within internal systems

To be successful in this Graduate Surveyor job in Derby, candidates should ideally have:

• A relevant RICS-accredited degree
• Some prior work experience within property or surveying (preferred but not essential)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail
• A proactive, enthusiastic approach to learning and development
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally for inspections and viewings
