Our client is a respected commercial property consultancy with strong regional presence and deep market insight. Working across sectors such as industrial, office, retail, development and land, they deliver practical, results-driven agency advice to a mixed portfolio of private individuals, corporates, developers and institutional clients.

They are now seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor to enhance their Agency capability, grow market presence, and contribute to ongoing succession and workload planning.

As a Chartered Surveyor within the Agency team, you will support landlord and tenant lease events, work with a range of asset types, and build trusted client relationships. You’ll balance independent delivery with collaboration across internal teams, benefiting from mentoring while contributing to strategic, client-facing projects.

You’ll take a pivotal role providing agency support across a wide range of client instructions. This position provides an engaging platform for professional growth, exposure to varied commercial workstreams, and the chance to influence the team’s expansion strategy.

As a Chartered Surveyor in Derby, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide strategic advice to clients on acquisitions, disposals, lettings, land sales, and development opportunities.
• Undertake property marketing, viewings, negotiations, and deal progression through to completion.
• Prepare and present reports, valuations, and heads of terms to support client decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, developers, occupiers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor market activity and use insight to identify opportunities and maximise client returns.
• Collaborate with colleagues across asset management, building consultancy, and investment teams to deliver joined-up solutions.

To be successful in this Chartered Surveyor job in Derby, you will bring significant experience working within a commercial property consultancy.

• RICS qualification (or working towards)
• Proven experience in lease event negotiations within agency or advisory contexts
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong time-management, organisation, and prioritisation skills
• Attention to detail and high professional standards
• IT proficiency, including property systems and standard business tools
• A full UK driving licence
