Atkins Search is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Bid Writer to join the collaborative Preconstruction team of a highly respected, family-owned main contractor based in Nottingham.

ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented Bid Writer to join an award-winning Preconstruction team. You’ll work alongside an experienced Bid Specialist and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compelling, high-quality bids, tenders and proposal documents.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about written work and communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Bid Writer, your responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Prepare Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Selection Questionnaires (SQs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Produce high-quality, client-focused bid and tender documentation
- Format, design and compile engaging proposal documents with both written and visual content
- Manage bid documentation to meet tight deadlines
- Assist with bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to bid strategy
- Create supporting content such as large-format visuals or models
- Collaborate on storyboarding and ensure brand and tone consistency
- Analyse feedback from unsuccessful bids to support continuous improvement
PERSON
To be successful in this Bid Writer job, you will be required to:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Bid Writing role
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with bid processes and document management
- Competent in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with a desire to develop and progress within the role
