Bid Writer

Atkins Search have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join the collaborative team of a region-leading construction main contractor in Derby!

Our client is a longstanding, highly respected business with an enviable reputation for delivering varied projects across the East Midlands. Known for delivering to an exceptionally high standard with a steady flow on tenders across both the public and private sector, they are looking to expand further.

Operating as part of an award-winning Preconstruction team, you would be working alongside an experienced Bid specialist, supported by a wider Pre-construction team to assist in writing high-quality bids and tenders.

You will have an opportunity to utilise your creative writing skills to deliver award-winning bids and build a successful construction career with an established main contractor.

• Preparing Pre-qualification Questionnaires (PPQs), Request for Quotations (RFQs) and selection questionnaires (SQs) for tenders
• Format large bid proposal documents
• Working with written content & graphics to specification
• Create impactful, well designed bid / proposal documentation ready for submission
• Create additional supporting content for the bid / tender / proposal to ensure a successful bid e.g. printed models / large-format printing
• Efficient completion of tender formatting within set timelines, keeping in mind the overall submission deadline
• Attend bid/ no bid meetings
• Review win/ no win bids to identify areas of improvement and positive client results
• Assist in the design and completion of storyboards and bid plans

• Have a keen eye for detail
• Exceptional organisation skills
• Desire to succeed and progress
• Ability to demonstrate document control processes and procedures
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Suite, MS Office and/or InDesign
