Atkins Search are currently working in partnership with a leading international construction and property consultancy to recruit an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor for their Sheffield office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead the delivery of complex healthcare schemes whilst supporting the development and management of a growing team. The role offers a blend of project delivery, client-facing responsibilities and leadership, making it ideal for an ambitious individual looking to progress within a highly respected consultancy environment.

Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-profile projects across the Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential, Infrastructure and Public sectors.

With a longstanding presence across the UK and internationally, they pride themselves on providing expert cost management and project advisory services whilst fostering a collaborative and supportive working culture. Due to continued growth within their healthcare division, they are seeking an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Sheffield team.

Role

As an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor based in Sheffield, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading the cost management delivery of major healthcare projects from feasibility through to completion.
  • Providing strategic commercial advice to clients throughout all project stages.
  • Managing project teams and supporting the development of Quantity Surveyors, Graduates and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for NHS trusts, healthcare providers and other project stakeholders.
  • Preparing and reviewing cost plans, estimates, tender documentation and final accounts.
  • Overseeing procurement strategies and contract administration activities.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Supporting senior leadership with business development initiatives and maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities for repeat business and promoting the consultancy's services across the healthcare sector.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Sheffield office.

Person

The successful candidate for the Associate Director Quantity Surveyor role will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related discipline.
  • MRICS Chartered status is essential.
  • Extensive experience delivering projects within a consultancy or professional services environment.
  • Previous experience managing healthcare projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge across a variety of procurement routes.
  • Proven ability to manage key client relationships and secure repeat business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Commercially astute with a proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Remuneration
