Role
As an Associate Director Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex construction projects while playing a key role in business development and team leadership. This role requires both technical expertise and commercial acumen to support the consultancy’s continued growth.
- Lead and oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic project management solutions.
- Manage procurement, contract administration, and risk management across projects.
- Oversee project teams, coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Play a pivotal role in business development, identifying new opportunities and building strong client relationships.
- Contribute to the growth and leadership of the consultancy, mentoring junior staff and supporting operational strategy.
Person
The successful applicant for this Associate Director Project Manager position in Sheffield will demonstrate:
- Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline (e.g., Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering).
- Chartered status (MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in project management within a consultancy environment, with a proven track record of leading major projects.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience in business development and client management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to play a key role in a growing consultancy.
