Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Construction Consultancy based in Manchester with hybrid working available.

My client provides a variety of Quantity Surveying & Project Management services to a range of national clients. Based in Central Manchester, my client can offer an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor a diverse workload that is tailored to your preferences and the opportunity to become a truly integral part of their growing business.

You will have the option to work on exciting schemes across Yorkshire & the North with exposure to a variety of sectors including defence, healthcare, residential, retail, education, leisure, mixed-use developments, commercial, heritage and conservation, to name a few!

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a varied workload, client facing meetings, collaborating with multi disciplined teams and end-to-end project delivery. This role will suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in Manchester, or the wider Yorkshire & the Humber, who has experience working on a variety of projects within the built environment.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor operating in their Manchester office, you will be involved in projects from inception to completion, your responsibilities will include:

• Small-medium project runner with responsibility for project cost control
• Ensuring accurate provision of cost estimates, bills of quantities, contract documents and reports
• Supporting with carrying out audits/cost checks/reviews of construction contracts (NEC & JCT)
• Supporting across bid process and undertaking business development
• Resources own jobs, undertakes team supervision and monitors internal costs
• Running Design Team meetings, reports on and gives advice on cost control matters
