Our client is a specialist Project Management and Cost Management consultancy based in Nottingham. They provide expert advice and delivery services across the infrastructure, residential and commercial sectors for both private and public sector clients.

Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of a diverse range of construction projects.
You will gain exposure to both pre-contract and post-contract project management services, assisting with project planning, risk management, reporting, stakeholder engagement and contract administration activities. This role provides an excellent foundation for developing your technical and professional skills whilst working towards chartership.
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative and coordination support across multiple projects.
- Supporting Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors with project delivery activities.
- Preparing project programmes, risk registers and client-facing reports.
- Attending project, consultant and client meetings as required.
- Assisting with the production and maintenance of contract documentation and project controls.
- Supporting post-contract services including site visits, progress meetings, contract administration and defects management.
- Assisting with pre-contract services including project programming, reporting and risk management activities.
- Building effective working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and colleagues.
- Managing workload priorities and ensuring key project deadlines are achieved.
- Travelling to client offices and construction sites as required.
Person
To be successful in this Assistant Project Manager position, the desirable candidate should demonstrate:
- A relevant degree qualification.
- Understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
- Working towards or enrolled on a relevant chartership pathway (desirable).
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
