A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Assistant Project Manager to join a leading construction consultancy based in Nottingham, working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Our client is a nationally operating, multidisciplinary construction consultancy with extensive experience across the infrastructure, residential, and commercial sectors.

ROLE
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work under the guidance of experienced Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, contributing to a variety of exciting projects from pre-contract planning through to post-contract delivery.
You will gain exposure to all stages of project management and be supported through a structured training and mentorship programme designed to help you develop technical knowledge and achieve chartered status.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager include:
- Providing administrative and technical support across a range of projects
- Attending client and project meetings independently where required
- Preparing project documentation including programmes, risk registers, and reports
- Supporting pre- and post-contract project management services for civil engineering and building projects
- Undertaking site visits, assisting with contract administration, and attending snagging/defects reviews
- Collaborating with clients and consultants and managing tasks to meet key deadlines
- Ensuring quality of work and adherence to project timelines under supervision
PERSON
The ideal Assistant Project Manager will bring:
- Understanding of JCT/NEC contractual provisions
- Excellent communication, organisation, and multi-tasking abilities
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency in MS Project, Asta Power Project, Word, and Excel
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to project delivery
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues
- A warm, open manner and ability to work under pressure
Desirable:
- A relevant degree qualification
- Enrolment in a relevant chartership programme
- Knowledge of consultancy services in the built environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
REMUNERATION
In return for your commitment and performance, our client offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including:
- Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 (commensurate with experience)
