Overview

Atkins Search are currently working in partnership with a well‑established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy in Wakefield, who’re currently looking to appoint an Architect to join their growing team. This role suits someone who enjoys being hands‑on with projects, values a supportive team environment, and wants to develop their technical capability within a respected local practice.

Renowned for their unique approach to service delivery, our client work across a mix of residential, commercial, healthcare, education and industrial projects, with a strong pipeline of repeat clients and long‑standing relationships across the region.

Role

As an Architect working within a close-knit team, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading and contributing to projects
  • Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, contractors and external consultants.
  • Attending client, design team and site meetings.
  • Conducting site inspections and monitoring construction progress.
  • Responding to technical queries and resolving construction-related issues.
  • Supporting junior team members and sharing technical knowledge across the practice.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

  • ARB-registered Architect qualification.
  • Proven post-qualification experience within UK architectural practice. Ideally 2 – 5 years
  • Strong technical and construction detailing knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards.
  • Experience delivering projects through technical design and construction phases.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Remuneration
