We are currently looking to recruit a Bid Manager to join a leading East Midlands based, main contractor.
If you are an experienced Bid Manager looking to make the next step or have a technical background in Contract or Project Management and want to move away from the day to day site operation and in to Bid Management, then this might be the role for you.
Projects will include Healthcare, Education, Residential apartments, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Leisure, Industrial and Commercial up to £20m in value. In this role you will take the bid through its full life cycle on to the final delivery of the scheme and supporting whilst supporting Bid Managers
Responsibilities will include:
Attending and holding PQQ and Bid meetings
Manage the bidding process to ensure they submit high-quality, innovative, winning bids
Provide strategic guidance on best-practice tendering
Develop the companies bid proposition
Communicate effectively with clients and prospects
Ensure all stages of the bid process are followed and reported on (from qualification to post-bid review)
Identify and manage resources from other departments required to work on live tenders
Identify main commercial/contractual risks for the business in bids
Keep up-to-date with industry/competitor/client news to support bids
Have a good understanding of competitors
To be right for this opportunity you will need to have undertaken a Bid Management or technical role for a Construction main contractor.
