Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an Estimator on behalf of a residential developer based in Nottingham.

Our Client

Our client is a 5* leading housing developer based in Nottingham, who have regional offices and over 90 years’ experience in the industry. The company are huge on progression of their employees and support them where they can in doing so and with further relevant courses.

The role of an Estimator

As an Estimator you will be working within the Commercial team, who deal with everything to do with cost-effective building. The commercial team comprises of Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Manager, Director and Material Buyers. You would be reporting to the Senior Estimator/ Commercial Manager.

Your responsibilities would consist of:

Liaise with suppliers, clients and contractors
Pricing up projects
Producing estimates
Providing accurate tenders and quotations
Liaise directly with external suppliers and subcontractors for all quotations
Management of accurate calculation of quantities

The ideal candidate for the role of an Estimator:

Have experience working as an Estimator in either a housing or commercial business
Good communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Be numerical and have understanding of the current market
Be able to work in a fast paced environment
