Atkins Search are currently working on behalf of a large and privately owned construction group to recruitment Quantity Surveyors of levels ranging from currently studying to qualified and experienced. Locations range from Kings Lynn to Hertfordshire including Thetford, Alconbury and Cambridge with opportunities to work on projects such as MOD, General commercial projects and education.

This business is an industry leader with its investment in people and is able to offer career development from trainee level right through to director. With a long standing history and background within construction, this business has been operating successfully across a number of regions for over 100 years delivering projects across towns and cities across the eastern and central parts of the UK.

 

Responsibilities will include (Dependent on experience)

·         Prepare project valuations, variations and final accounts and ensure they are submitted on time in accordance with the contract / client requirements

·         Check sub-contractor, supplier and consultant applications

·         Ensure payments are received / made on the due dates

·         Assist the project team in production of and meeting or exceeding project targets

·         Produce procurement schedules

·         Negotiate and mange subcontractor and consultant packages

·         Prepare accurate monthly cashflow projections, financial reports and financial forecasts

·         Assist in procurement of materials for site

·         Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions

·         Negotiate settlement of variations / final accounts

·         Attend project meetings and carry out site visit reports

·         Assist with value engineering solutions

·         Consider and review commercial strategies

·         Carry out contract administration and early identification of commercial issues

·         Advise management of pending commercial issues

·         Manage all non-recoverable project costs

 

Key Skills and experience (Dependent on experience)

 

·         Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC suite of contracts

·         Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills

·         Confidence in representing the company at meetings

·         Able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
