Breaking the Silence: Atkins Search Team Runs the Wolf Run for Male Mental Health Awareness
Supporting Male Mental Health Through Action
On 7 June, two incredible members of our team at Atkins Search Recruitment, Nicole Broughton and Ashleigh Curwood, will be tackling the Summer Wolf Run, a 10K course filled with mud, rivers, and rugged natural obstacles. This is an impressive fitness challenge for them both, and it’s also a mission to raise awareness for a cause that hits close to our industry: male mental health.
Running for a Cause That Matters: Tough To Talk
Nicole and Ashleigh are proudly running on behalf of Tough To Talk, a UK charity dedicated to ending the silence around male suicide and mental health. This initiative provides vital support and community for men who often suffer in silence, especially in industries like construction and recruitment where the pressure to “man up” remains pervasive.
According to statistics, men in construction are among the highest at risk for suicide, which is a heartbreaking reality that makes this cause incredibly important to our team.
Why This Matters to Us at Atkins Search Recruitment
As a construction recruitment specialist, Atkins Search works closely with professionals in industries where mental health struggles are often hidden. We believe in supporting the well-being of the people behind the profession.
Every day, men across the UK battle internal struggles, and many never get the chance to speak out. Nic and Ash are lacing up their trainers to help change that.
Help Us Make a Difference
This challenge is about showing that every step counts in the fight against mental health stigma. If you believe that silence shouldn’t cost lives, support Nicole and Ashleigh by donating to their fundraising page. Your contribution will help Tough To Talk continue its life-saving work across the UK.
